An oasis of relaxation and home-grown food in the countryside of Mantua, the pearl of Renaissance Italy
Nestled between the countryside around Mantua and Lake Garda, across the banks of the river Mincio and the wonderful Morenici Hills, accessible to the more intrepid amongst us via the cycle path that runs all the way round the agriturismo.
Built exclusively with natural materials, all the rooms in the Agriturismo afford a breathtaking view of the surrounding, unspoiled, rural countryside, and lead out directly to the garden and swimming pool. Hearty breakfasts with home-grown and local products, including fresh fruit, home-made jams and cakes, and fresh milk of the finest quality straight from our own cows. Our kitchen offers dishes from the rich culinary tradition of Mantua, made with the products in season at that particular time.
Guests can enjoy guided tours of the Farm and the nearby Dairy (on request) where they can see how Grana Padano cheese is produced. There are various natural oases a short distance away, including the Parco delle Bertone, the Fontana Wood, the Parco olfori, in addition to splendid historical villages such as San Martino della Battaglia, Solforino and the ancient mills on the Mincio in Borghetto. The Agriturismo is a strategic destination for cycling tourists who make good use of the network of cycle paths linking Mantua to Lake Garda.
